EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION / GAME OVERVIEW
What is Eggonomics?
Eggonomics is an indie mobile stock market simulation game about trading Eggs inside an inescapable corporate economy.
What do you do in Eggonomics?
Players buy, sell and hold Eggs in one shared market. Prices respond to player decisions, NPC traders, rumours and interference from The Company. The wider loop adds quotas, tax, warehouse costs and audits, so making a profitable trade is only one part of surviving the economy.
What kind of game is it?
Eggonomics combines market simulation, strategy and corporate satire. It is not a real-money trading platform: Eggs, Company Credits and every other in-game item are virtual and have no real-world monetary value.
What is the setting?
The player works from a small windowless office owned by The Company, which also controls the government, market, warehouse, tax authority and pension provider. Progress comes from reading the market, managing obligations, following fragments from The Insider and furnishing the office with whatever remains.
Where can I play it?
Eggonomics is currently in development. TestFlight Beta 2 provides limited free public testing on iOS when places are available, and Android testing is planned for a later mobile testing wave.
Who is developing Eggonomics?
Eggonomics is developed independently by Taylor Roberts using Unreal Engine 5.6.1. Development notes are published in the site's devlog, with beta news and community updates shared through the official Eggonomics channels.
